 Intro

Tutoring Tomorrow Today was born from a simple yet powerful idea: academic success is deeply connected to community support and belonging. Founded by Harvard alum Nestor Pimienta, our program brings together students, campus workers, and their children to learn, share stories, and enjoy culturally diverse meals together. We believe that everyone has value and something to teach. Our mission is to build a community that reflects justice, inclusivity, and shared growth.

Programs

Academic Tutoring

Our dedicated university students provide personalized tutoring tailored to each child’s needs, whether it’s homework help, test preparation, or reading support. By building academic confidence, we help set children on a path to long-term success.

Community Meals

After each tutoring session, students, workers, and children come together to share a meal featuring dishes from diverse cultural traditions. These meals create a relaxed, welcoming environment where stories are shared, relationships deepen, and cultural connections are celebrated.

Volunteer Roles

Tutors commit to at least 2 hours a week, including tutoring and community meals. We also welcome community coordinators who organize sessions and volunteers who help with meal preparation and cultural activities. Every role is vital in creating a supportive, inclusive space.

TTT Alum Reflection

"TTT was such a fantastic experience that even though I was involved almost a decade ago now, I still remember it frequently and fondly. In fact, my professional life is now dedicated to tutoring and academic support in higher education. So I guess you could say that TTT gave me my start! But beyond me, TTT is crucial to keeping the Harvard community connected. All too often the integral staff who keep Harvard running are forgotten, and this program builds bridges not only academically, but socially, between students and staff, and their families. I cannot speak highly enough about this program. Everyone should get involved!"

Erika, Harvard Alum, Current Director of Academic Support at Samuel Merritt University
